Let us be straight. Swydo is a solid tool. It combines Boards and Goals into a straightforward reporting and dashboard hybrid, with more than 38 integrations and an AI Reporting feature that generates report summaries for you. Its client portal, shared by link and optionally password protected, is genuinely simple to use. If goal tracking against targets is central to how you report, Swydo does that well. Clientdeck does something different: it writes a finished, branded report for each client, and the client responds and approves that report themselves. Here is where that matters.
1. A portal your client views, or a report your client approves
Swydo's client portal shares your reports and dashboards by link, with an optional password. That gets the report in front of the client. Swydo's comments let a client start a conversation about a report or a widget. There is no approve or sign off step, and Swydo's own help article says agencies cannot start a client conversation. They are told to use text widgets for proactive messages instead. What we can say clearly is this: the client responding and signing off on the report itself is where Clientdeck is built differently. They open the report on a link with no login, comment on it and approve it, and you get a written yes on record.
What changed in September 2026
As at September 2026, Swydo has added client comments in beta, and AgencyAnalytics lists client commenting as in progress on its public roadmap. Clients can now ask questions in more than one tool.
What no reporting tool we checked does is let the client sign the report off, with a dated record of who approved it and when. Clientdeck does.

2. Price that grows every time you add a source
Swydo starts from about US$69 a month, then charges more for every data source you connect past ten. Clientdeck's plans stay flat: NZ$49 to NZ$399 a month, no matter how many sources or clients sit behind them.
3. Goals and boards, or a finished editorial report

Can the client approve the report in Swydo?
Not as at September 2026. Swydo added client comments in beta, so a client can start a conversation, but there is no step for the client to approve the report. In Clientdeck, your client approves the report themselves, and you keep a dated record.
